My Eyes continued...

Watersnake

I know its boring - the saga of my eyes but after the lovely comments and emails I had I thought you may wish to hear I have been!! I have been tested and ..................................................yes...............I need glasses!! No surprise there then ;) I have picked out some sexy black rimmed ones but as its only for close up work I shan't really be showing them off - unless you all want a pic?? Also my darling Elli needs them for th complete opposite reason - she needs them to see the white board (opposite to black board!!) so they are making her little bi-focals - and they look so cute on her!!
Watersnake Earrings
It was actually ok - the test and everything but its scary when you see how far your eyes have deteriorated although apparently for 10 years (yep thats how long I went in between) its not bad just .5 but I could really see a difference - do you think it will make a difference to my work??

World Artisan Gems

Today I was featured in an article on World Artisan Gems!

I went on my hols

Kennack Sands ~ Reserved
I did, the family, some friends and I!!! But did I take any pics??? Nope - and yes I am kicking myself now! Mind you the weather was appalling , more like October than August - rain and winds - in fact my feet got so muddy - I refuse to wear wellies ( I was on my summer hols) but camping probably wasn't the best place to rebel, as the story my poor feet are telling now! Mullion is a beautiful part of Cornwall, quite wild (the way I like it) and the coast line is superb. Kynance Cove is a definite one to inspire a future design - in fact I can feel one bubbling up ;) Take a look at the website pics - much better than the ones I would have taken - because yes it was raining AGAIN!!

The Colour of Sunsets

Being neither north of south really on the Lizard Peninsula - does that make sense? - I saw some fabulous sunsets - on the rare occassion we had sun and this one sums up all the colours I saw. Beads by Caroline Cash of course with delicious Karen Hill Tribe Silver! Of course we all know the saying red sky @ night Shepherds Delight - which means a dry day following and I think the most perfect sunset I saw did actually mean this!! WE actually made it to the beach!

Splashing the Waves ~ RESERVED

Of course now we're home and now preparing for my Elli's (and mine) birthdays - a seven year olds party - please pray for dry weather!!! I can't believe she is seven - doesn't time fly when you are having fun!!

More gorgeous people wearing MEG Jewelry

Now this little cutey is Mr. Calvin Odgers. Despite his father's horror, Calvin still took a minute out of his busy day to pose for the paparazzi, wearing the Kate hair band with Nora hair flower. I hate to brake it to all of you brides, who are planning on sporting the Kate or the Nora... but I don't know if you will ever be able to look as cute in it, as Calvin does! www.marahselegantbridal.com

This is MS. Omaha, Alexis, during the Ms. Nebraska competition. She is wearing a custom pair of earrings for her competition.

Beth's a superstar! Beth works at the Left Bank in Chicago. www.leftbankjewelry.com. She is an amazing women. Beth is wearing the Guenda bracelet and Guenda necklace on a night on the town with her beau.

Hanging out with the butterflies

When Rod and I finished a day at Bliss Boutique, we decided to have a picnic. We plugged "park" into our navigator, and found this gorgoues park Arbuckle Acres, in Brownsburg, Indiana. Acres of trails around a stream, lots of places to play with kids or to play frisbee. We stumbled upon this butterly haven. As many of you know, I love butterflies, so I was very happy sitting with them, on butterfly chairs, eating a picnic. Rod seemed pretty happy too!
Now, I know you are all thinking "Meg is not wearing any jewerly~ WHAT?!?! It is true...When I am exercising I don't wear the jewelry...but as you can see, I have crystals on my "ROCK" tee, that was so kindly made for me, by my girls at GirlExtraordinaire! www.girleo.com.

Bliss(FULL) Boutique!

Pure bliss at Bliss Boutique right outside of Indianapolis http://www.bliss-boutique.com/. Rod and I loved being with these ladies and their brides, bridesmaids, and MOB. Bliss just picked up MEG Jewelry a month ago. They instantly invited us for a trunk show (somehow we had a weekend open), and we enjoyed every minute of being there. We are looking forward to going back! Thanks ladies!

Back to Bridal Boutique

How cute is fabulous Tanya at the Bridal Boutique in Perry!? She is ready to have a baby soon....I love adorable pregnant women! The other beautiful woman (in the wedding dress) reminded me of Audrey Hepburn- look at that tiny waist! She was so elegant, I had to have a picture! She choose the Trei hair jewelry, Sylvia earrings and Nadia lariat (which drops softly down her back). PERFECT!!! www.perrybridalboutique.com

Lot's O' fun on the Mississippi

Rod and I, at Jamie's wedding! It was held on the Riverwalk overlooking the Mississippi River. What a beautiful day! Check out my earrings! Love them...They will be out in my new line (Spring/summer '09 line). I am also wearing the Trei hair jewelry. I made this piece in a blush color to complement my outfit. Rod is wearing his linen shirt and pants that he wore on our wedding day (in St. Lucia) almost 5 years ago! This is only the second time he wore this ensemble, so I was quite googoo over him!

The girls' and I are having a lot of fun!!! The women in the soft yellow dress is Jen, but her friends call her Yen. She is the name behind the Jen earrings, Yen necklace, bracelet, and earrings....little trivia for you.
Jamie is the person behind the Jamie, James and Jamie Alicia necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and hair jewelry.

Fireworks!

This is my GORGeous girlfriend (inside and out) Jamie with her new husband Bryan Montemerano. James has been a longtime friend of Rod and mine. We are now happy to include Bryan as a new friend. Bryan is a nationally know crooner (think Harry Connick Jr.). They are PERFECT together! Jamie lives in Houston, but we both took a trip to the lovely boutique, outside of Minneapolis, The LOFT Bridal and Design, where we had one -on- one personalization and of course found THE dress. As you can see, she is stunning (not too mention he is so handsome)! I designed a three stranded graduating pearl necklace that had a free flowing three layers of crystals cascading around her back to her shoulders, which then finished with a vintage clasp. Jamie changed her looks for her weekend 4th of July wedding. As Jamie is a skilled flamingo dancer, she later changed to the Pani earrings and wore the Alecia hair jewelry/necklace/bracelet over her satin black gloves for dancing with her new husband, then solo flamingo dancing and dancing with her girlfriends!
