Heather Earrings featured in Bridal Guide Magazine
My Heather Earrings are featured in the Sept/Oct issue of Bridal Guide Magazine. They are featuring jewelry with silver/gray pearls. A clipping of the magazine page is below:
The earrings are composed of white topaz, silver freshwater pearls and either gold fill or 14K gold wire. They are available on my newly renovated website here or on my etsy site as well.
Please checkout the new layout and design of my site. I switched to a web design vehicle that is MUCH easier for me to keep updated and current.
...and that is my goal for this blog as well--more frequent posts! I plan to start a series of posts that pair my jewelry with gorgeous designer clothes--"dream pairings "if you will!

My Eyes
I think my eyes are starting to complain about all this close up work, I need nagging to go to the opticians! Years ago, and I mean B.E (Before Elli) in fact B.M (Before marriage) I had my eyes tested as my Auntie was diagnosed with Glaucoma, I need glasses for close up work, I had them as a Birthday gift (very expensive) and I hated wearing them. At the time I worked as a photographers assistant - setting up lights, booking in clients, sorting through the photographs, adding client base to computor, loading film etc. My head was up and down and I started getting headaches from glasses on and off, or in my case not taking them off at the right moments. So guess what I gave up wearing them.....
Tundra - RESERVED
Of course I now need to be rechecked and my eyes are so sore in the evenings, I think they are crying for help. I'm just so bad at gtting myself checked out for some reason... you'd think after all my health scares I would be the opposite, sadly anything which is slightly invasive of my person I run screaming for the hills. WEll I suppose there's always more valium ....
ANd yes I am joking ;p

People and places in Toronto
We were so excited to see the Justina McCaffrey boutique in Toronto. It beautiful! We think Cumberland is the best street in Toronto, and of course that is where the gorgeous dresses and boutique of Justina McCaffrey is housed. We were not able to go to Ottowa where their main boutique is, but hopefully soon!
- This was my favorite place in all of Toronto! Green is Black boutique! www.greenisblack.ca. All of the clothing and accessories are made of recycled materials and in non-sweatshop facilities. You know me, as a designer and owner of a company that is also based on using recycling in all that we possibly can, and all MEG Jewelry is created in non sweat shop facility, in the Midwest, in the US of A. I loved this place! Not only is is ecofriendly and human friendly, it is a cute boutique with lots of awsome clothes! I personally bought several outfits! This is Kerry, the awesome owner! I instantly thought she was fantastic! But then I found out we have the same birthday...Go Scorpios!
Great food at Adego! I can't even talk about the gorgeous meal we had at Adego, without salivating! Portugese food...amazing! We had the coolest server. And the weather was perfect! Very memorable evening!
Oh Canada!
Eur*Girl is on the web! My new fashion line Eur*Girl has just been put on the website! This line is very kitshy and girly. Obviously very Euro! I love love love this line! I have had a blast desinging it for a European market, but have decided to bring it to the states. In the US it is currently only available through us. Give us a call, to order.
It's a boy!
Calvin Odgers was at his first MEG Jewelry trunk show, at his mommy's boutique, Marah's Elegant Bridal! He was very helpful lov'n the ladies while we worked with brides. He is perfect! I fell in love instantly!
Magic at Marah's Elegant Bridal
My favorite time of the year is to hang out with Marah and the soul sistas! Here we have Krista, me, Marah, and Rachel. Marah has a very welcoming boutique (www.marahselegantbridal.com). As you can see Marah has amazing style! She knows how to help the bride pick the perfect dress and accessories to fit their personality, body type, and wedding theme. She will set you up head to toe, and you will never question your choices! Not only is her boutique adorable and "shabby chic" Marah and the sistas are also adorable and a ton of fun to work with. Since the MEG Jewelry trunk shows are such a success, we are going to need to expand to 3x/year....Yeah!!! More time with Marah and her brides....LOVE IT! Middle of November is our next trunk show, in this quiant town, outside of Madison, WI.
More fruity summer fun jewelry!
There was a huge, great response to my fruit jewelry. I sold so many fruit items including some new casual versions of my fruit necklaces and pairs of earrings that are not listed on my website at this 4th of July sale that I decided to add some of these items to my website. I even added a couple of rings as well! Check them out! The rings were for fun and I may add some sterling and gold filled versions soon, if anyone is interested. I will be adding more earrings and casual necklaces in the days to come. I was so happy to see so many people interestsed in my fruit jewelry ~ as I do enjoy making it!

You know its bad when...
your friend who lives away rings to ask if you are ok because you haven't written your blog for over a week. Or your Dad tells you off and calls you boring. So to all my blog readers near, dear and far - I'm Sorry. I have been so busy I can hardly keep up with myself, parties, wholesale, commissions and of course life! But I am still making and the above pendant (which comes in antiqued and shiny silver) Infinity is one of my latest designs. Simplicity with a organic twist don't you think??
I also had my first ring commission which I thoroughly enjoyed doing. Three slim line rings, one hammered, one grooved and one with a pebble on top. I hope you like them :)
Right more work is to be done - speak soon..

Benefits of going to Hershey, Pennsylvania
When you go to Cocoa Couture you will find great people, dresses, and accessories. The fringe benefit is shown in this picture...CHOCOLATE! Rod was voted as biggest buyer from Hershey. When we returned home, he layed all of his confections out with his tail feathers puffed in pride... Gotta love Rod! Definitely our friends have been enjoying Rod's trip to Hershey! LLCOOLR : Ladies love cool Rod!
Cocoa Couture is Cool!
I have been looking forward to visiting Cocoa Couture since I met the mother- daughter team of Jill (mom) and Megan (daughter). These two women are beautiful and chic, so I was quite sure their boutique would mirror them. How cool is this...Cocoa Couture is in Hershey Pennsylvania on Chocolate Ave. and their last name is Brown. You can smell the chocolate as you drive through this quaint town. Mmmmmm....
When I met Jill I decided to call her CoCo since she is cool like Chanel...it has stuck. Since meeting them, Megan married Josh, who I can't explain in words, just that he is hilarious and one of a kind. We had a blast with them. Rod was thrilled because he got some guy time with Coco's significant other and Josh. We will be back again in October, for our next trunk show. I hope to see everyone getting married on the east coast there!

PERFECT time at the Perfect Dress
I can't think of a better name than the Perfect Dress for this intimate and personal boutique in downtown Fort Wayne Indiana! Lori (far right) has turned this Victorian house into a boutique where not only will you find the perfect dress, but you will find the perfect everything for your big day (of course including the perfect JEWELRY)! You will be treated to one-on-one appointment. Everyone that works there has great taste! I loved that! Julie (who I refer to as Jewelry) will be getting married this fall..she was lovely! Rod spent much time with her and found her simply delightful! I found my salsa dancing and fashion sister in Lori! Can't wait to go back!
