Wire Boutique

Today the Wire Boutique was launched!! All the designers on the Boutique are from within the UK - using fine quality gemstones and wire in precious metals to create exclusive pieces of Art. You may recognise some of the names on there (me!) - all the designers have their own unique style and you will definitely get an exclusive piece of jewellery. I have become officially obsesses with wire at the moment - thick or thin everything has it on ;) I would even cover my dh in it - but he is a faster runner than me ;)
Here's one of my pieces for sale on WB - Apple Blossom - with beautiful Prehnite, Rose Quartz and peridot - this is one of my favourites. Luckily all the blossom on our apple tree seems to have produced apples so a bumper crop this year!!

Take a look and let me know what you think!

Ooops I did it again

Honestly I think the week is just two days long here - mind you the year is only 4 weeks.... I just can't believe my daughter will be going into the Juniors (Uk we have infants from 4yr-7yrs, then juniors 7- 11) it only seems a year ago I left her in Reception class age 4 - I cried - Elli barely waved!!
As you can see I have been creating - so I'm making the most of these very short weeks ;) I've also had a few commmissions I have been getting on with as well as getting prepared for a brand new website that will be launching very soon - very exciting :)
All these pieces are available on my website or Etsy from today complete with all the other new pieces I have made.

Breast cancer awareness necklace

I added a sparkling multistrand pink necklace to my breast cancer awareness page ~ 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this necklace is donated directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Overhaul on my website!

Wow! I spent the entire day today adding a few new jewelry items to my site and giving my website a new look. I was tired of the pink and needed something new! I am exhausted! So if you see any pink pages, refresh your screen. I really like the new look, a little more relaxing to the eyes.

Added some really neat pieces as well. A really long forest-type necklace with really nice peyote stitch wrapping around the back of the necklace:

These two have great lampwork beads:

And this one is like a seashell lei:

Salut Left Bank!

Good times at the Left Bank!
I feel like I am at maison when I am at the Left Bank. If you are anywhere near Chicago, it is a must see. Susan (lovely blonde, inbetween "the boys") has created not just a perfect boutique, but a perfect experience. It was her 13th year of having The Left Bank! She invited me for a trunk show to celebrate their 13th birthday! We had cupcakes and cosmos! Good time! I worked with many wonderful brides! Here is a bride-to-be who will be getting married in St. Lucia in a Nicole Miller dress with gorgeous MEG Jewelry (yes, I was married in St. Lucia in a Nicole Miller dress, and MEG Jewelry)!

I love Beth....isn't she gorgeous!

A week of frolic and fun in Minneapolis and Chicago!

The Boys (Leo and Alby) designers for the amazing line Garnette Avenue (www.garnetteavenue.com), flew in from Milan. We were able to meet up in Minneapolis for a few days. We spent some time with our good friends at The Loft (www. theloftbridal.com). We then hooked back up in Chicago, where we stayed with our good friend Marina. Marina is the fantastic designer for World Weaver (www.world-weaver.com). In Chicago, I was fortunate to spend the weekend at a trunk show with The Left Bank. (www.leftbankjewelry.com).

"The Boys are back in town"

This is Ms. Omaha, Alexis Geist. I believe this week, she will be crowned MS. Nebraska. She gets my vote!

The elegant ladies of Ellyne Bridal, blowing kisses!

Kute Kendra and Dean

I think the best part of having my company is all of the fantastic people I meet along the way. Kendra and Dean are two of those amazing people. Kendra works for The Knot (we LOVE The Knot). She and Dean are getting married in August...Check out the ring! We were able to meet with them, for some seafood and libations, on our way to a trunk show. Thanks for the fun night Kendra and Dean!

Lovely ladies in MEG Jewelry

This breathtaking couple were featured in newspaper in Cali. She bought her MEG Jewelry at the Stephanie James Couture Boutique in Huntington Beach, CA.

This is Emily. She was a wonderful bride that I worked with at Ellyne Bridal, last fall. The Emily hair jewelry is named after her. Beautiful woman on the inside and out!

Fabulous Liz, at Essence of Australia, wore MEG Jewelry on her big day! Gorgeous lady!

I'm Back!

Yes, I am finally back on the blog...I have been travelling to trunk shows for the past 2 months, and have a weekend at home (time to design!). I have had so much fun and creativity working with many fabulous brides! If you are one of those brides...thanks so much for travelling to the trunk shows! I have a few photos of brides that have gotten their jewelry from MEG Jewelry. I will post those next. I also have many trunk show photos....stay tuned!

More animals

I won't bore you with too many more animals from WM Safari and if you scroll down you even may see some earrings ;0)

This rhino looked as if it quite fancied our car! E swiftly moved it but our lovely friends in the next cat thought it was hilarious!!
I love elephants and always thought them to be gentle creatures but apparently they can be a little temperamental!!

I also love giraffes with there long legs and they are beautiful.

And finally I came home and created this with rose quartz, prehnite and peridot.

This is today's post about me on this blog:

The Glamorous Bee: Julia Bristow Jewelry is Nature's Beauty

Disappeared!

I haven't disappeared really - my wonderful husband asked me to take a break from the website and work (I really am at it 24/7) and I promised I would but it turns out he was whisking me away for a few days with Elli to visit our lovely friends. So here I am after a relaxing 5 ( should have been 4 except the car broke down!) days filled with laughter, gin and food!!
One of the days we went to West Midlands Safari park - a bit like longleat where you drive in and around animals - of course some are behind fences but as you can see the Lions were not and as my favourite animal (I am a leo myself) I took quite a few pics!!

I won't bore you with it all now (more like spreading it out across the week!) but I wanted you to know I am Back!!
